Luke Bryan Tickets

Early Life

Thomas Luther Bryan, professionally known as Luke Bryan, was born on July 17, 1976 in Leesburg, Georgia. He grew up on his dad’s peanut farm and was always surrounded by music because of his parents record collection. When he was fourteen years old his parents gave him his first guitar and he began to learn how to play. He became so good that in high school he was already playing with local musicians. At age 19, Bryan was planning on moving to Nashville to pursue his music career. But then the unimaginable happened when Bryan’s older brother was killed in a car accident. Bryan unpacked his bags and decided to stay in Georgia to stay close to his family. He enrolled at Georgia Southern University and got a bachelor’s degree in business administration. While Bryan was at school, he would perform in local college bars with his band – his passion for music was still there. Bryan’s father knew this and once Bryan graduated college his father insisted he pack his bags and leave for Nashville. Once in Nashville, it was not difficult for Bryan to land a recording contract.

Debut Album and Doin’ My Thing

Bryan joined a publishing house in Nashville shortly after arriving. He wrote songs for big country names like Travis Tritt. One night when Bryan was performing his original music at a night club, a representative from Capital Records heard him and subsequently signed him to Capital. Bryan co-wrote his debut lead single with producer Jeff Stevens. The single was “All My Friends” which rose to number 5 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. On August 14, 2007, Bryan released his debut album titled I’ll Stay Me. The album peaked at number 24 on the Billboard 200 and number 2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums. Two other singles from the album included “We Rose in Trucks” and “Country Man”. Two years later Bryan released an EP titled Spring Break with All My Friends that was followed by his second studio album, Doin’ My Thing. Doin’ My Thing’s lead single was “Do I”, which was co-written by members of Lady Antebellum: Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood. The album peaked at number 6 on the Billboard 200 and number 2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums. It was Bryan’s first album to become certified Platinum by the RIAA. A few months later Bryan released another EP titled Spring Break 2…Hangover Edition.

Tailgates & Tanlines and Spring Break…Here to Party

On February 25, 2011, Bryan released his third EP Spring Break 3…It’s a Shore Thing. The EP was followed by a single called “Country Girl (Shake It for Me)”, which served as the lead single for Bryan’s next album, Tailgates & Tanlines. Tailgates & Tanlines was released on August 9, 2011 and was Bryan’s most successful album yet. It peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and became certified 4X Platinum by the RIAA. “Country Girl (Shake It for Me)” peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100. Then on March 6, 2012, Bryan dropped the fourth EP of the Spring Break series, titled Spring Break 4…Suntan City. About a year after this release, Bryan decided to drop his first compilation album. The compilation album featured twelve songs from the Spring Break EPs and two new songs. It was titled Spring Break…Here to Party and was Bryan’s first album to top the Billboard 200. Bryan was beginning to see consistency in the successes of his works.

Crash My Party and Kill the Lights

That same year, Bryan released his fourth studio album entitled Crash My Party. Crash My Party became Bryan’s second album to top the Billboard Top Country Albums and the Billboard 200. The album became certified 4X Platinum by the RIAA and featured 6 hit singles. Singles included on the album were “Crash My Party”, “That’s My Kind of Night”, “Drink A Beer”, “Play It Again”, “Roller Coaster”, and “I See You”. All six of the singles hit number 1 on both the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and Country Airplay charts; Bryan is the only country music artist to do so. Crash My Party was the third best-selling album of 2013. Bryan’s fifth studio album, Kill the Lights, dropped on August 7, 2015. It was preceded by the release of two singles: “Kick the Dust Up” and “Strip It Down”. Both singles peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and Country Airplay charts. Kill the Lights debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200, becoming Bryan’s third album to do so. All six singles from the album peaked at number 1 on the Country Airplay charts. Kill the Lights is now certified 2X Platinum by the RIAA. Critics have described Bryan’s Kill the Lights as quieter and more contemplative compared to his other works.
