Detroit Lions Tickets 2020 Season Outlook

The 2020 NFL season is a promising one for the Detroit Lions. They have a number of young, talented players that should play a big role in shaping the future of the franchise. It starts with up and coming wide receivers Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones Jr. These two had impressive seasons last year and emerged as one of the better duos in the league. At the running back position, Kerryon Johnson was having a potential Rookie of the Year season before it ended early due to injury. Second year tight end T.J. Hockenson will also play a big role for the Detroit Lions this season. On defense, Head Coach Matt Patricia spent the third overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft on the best cornerback available. Jeff Okudah will step in and be a productive NFL cornerback from day one. Veteran Matthew Stafford needs to step up and lead these young, talented players back to the playoffs. Find your Detroit Lions tickets today to see all the excitement go down at Ford Field.

History of the Detroit Lions

Founded as the Portsmouth Spartans in 1929, the Detroit Lions are one of the oldest franchises in the National Football League. Over the course of their long history, the Lions have won four NFL Championships (1935, 1952, 1953, 1957) but have yet to find their way to the Super Bowl. As of 2012, the franchise also boasted 16 players who were enshrined in Canton, OH, at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The most famous of those players is unquestionably running back Barry Sanders. Sanders joined the Lions in 1989 when they selected him with the #3 overall pick in the NFL Draft. Over his 10-year career, Sanders rushed for 15,269 yards with 99 rushing touchdowns. He was a ten-time Pro Bowler, a ten-time All-Pro, and four-time rushing champion and captured the Most Valuable Player Award in 1997. Although his 1998 retirement took many by surprise, Sanders remains an icon in the Motor City and had his #20 retired by the Lions.

One tradition that Sanders got to participate in every year of his career was the Lions' annual Thanksgiving Day game. Detroit, along with the Dallas Cowboys, get the honor of hosting a Thanksgiving Day game. It has become part of Lions fans' traditions as well, with families getting together to eat turkey and watch their Lions in action. If you want to be part of that experience, whether for the Lions Thanksgiving Day game or for any other game on their schedule, check out the tickets available at TicketNetwork.com, a great place to find the Detroit Lions tickets you want at an affordable price!
