Dan and Shay Tickets

Daniel Smyers and James Shay Mooney report that they starting writing songs together the day after they met! Their first songs were recorded by other country artists, including Rascal Flatts. When their debut single, “19 You + Me,” was released in 2014, it was clear that the pair’s tight, soaring vocal harmonies were something special. From then on, Dan + Shay’s songwriting efforts went into their own releases. Their very first studio album, Where It All Began, went straight to number one on the country charts.  

That same year, country superstar Blake Shelton invited Dan + Shay to join them on his Ten Times Crazier tour, which the band described as “...as a master class in country music entertaining.” Then, the pair headed out on their first Dan + Shay tour, playing mostly smaller venues but getting rave reviews from fans and critics alike. 

In 2015, the pair announced a second tour, entitled Just the Right Kind of Crazy, along with another up-and-coming country act, Kelsea Ballerini. The tour was documented in a series of videos made available on AT&T’s interactive app Country Deep, and a single of the same name was released exclusively on the app. This brought the band to the attention of a younger fan base and helped fill larger venues as Dan + Shay tickets became a hot property! 

Dan + Shay scored their first number one single in 2016 with “From the Ground Up,” the first release from their second album, Obsessed. Planners had underestimated the band’s popularity, so the tour was scheduled for relatively small venues, and Dan + Shay concert tickets became nearly impossible to get! Two more songs from the album, “Nothin’ Like You” and “How Not To” both hit number one on the country airplay charts, and the video for a fourth release, “Road Trippin’” became one of the most-played songs on YouTube. 

It was the 2018 album, Dan + Shay, that launched the duo into true country stardom. The first single from the album, “Tequila,” was a crossover hit, charting at number one on Country and in the top 10 on the U.S. Adult chart. The band headlined Dan + Shay, the Tour, supported by country acts Morgan Evan and Chris Lane. “Tequila” was nominated for multiple awards, and won a CMT Music Award, a Grammy award, and was the Song of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards. A second release from the album, “Speechless,” also won multiple awards. 

In 2020, the band recorded “10,000” hours with Justin Bieber, and the song quickly shot to number one on the country charts and number four on Billboard’s Hot 100. The band embarked on their 2020 tour, Dan + Shay the (Arena) Tour, and this time the venues are big, and the fans are pumped! Dan + Shay tour tickets are always top sellers, and you’ll find great seats for all their shows at TicketNetwork.
